Fine lines. Acne scars. Enlarged pores. Crepey skin. Uneven texture. Early skin laxity.
Sometimes skincare alone simply cannot reach where the changes are happening.
RF microneedling combines controlled microneedling with radiofrequency energy delivered beneath the skin's surface to stimulate collagen remodeling and improve the quality, texture and firmness of the skin.
At AdoreU, we use both Cutera Secret RF and AGNES RF technology, allowing your treatment to be customized not only to your skin—but also to the specific area and concern we are treating.

RF microneedling takes traditional collagen induction therapy a step further.
Tiny needles enter the skin at a controlled depth while radiofrequency energy is delivered beneath the surface.
That combination creates a controlled response within the tissue that stimulates collagen remodeling over time.
Because the energy can be delivered below the surface, RF microneedling allows us to work on concerns that may need more than traditional microneedling alone.
Secret RF allows controlled energy to be delivered at multiple depths and is designed for concerns such as fine lines, acne scars, enlarged pores, tone, texture and overall skin quality.

Depending on your skin and treatment plan, RF treatments may help improve the appearance of:
Fine lines and wrinkles
Acne scars
Enlarged pores
Uneven or rough skin texture
Crepey skin
Mild skin laxity
Scarring
Stretch marks
Overall skin quality
Areas that need more targeted tightening or contouring
The goal is not to make your skin look different.
The goal is healthier-looking skin that appears smoother, firmer and more supported.
Secret RF combines fractional microneedling with radiofrequency energy delivered at customized depths beneath the skin.
It is especially useful when we are treating broader areas of the face, neck or body for concerns such as:
Acne scarring
Enlarged pores
Fine lines
Uneven texture
Skin quality
Crepey skin
Overall collagen support
Cutera's Secret RF platform uses customizable treatment depths and different treatment-tip configurations so treatment can be adjusted to the area and concern.

Not every concern needs to be treated across an entire area.
AGNES gives us another option when treatment needs to be much more precise.
Rather than treating the skin broadly, AGNES uses specialized RF microblade technology designed to deliver controlled energy to specific tissue depths and anatomical areas.
That makes it especially useful when treatment needs to focus on smaller or more specific areas of the face.
Depending on the concern and your anatomy, AGNES may be incorporated into a treatment plan for targeted facial refinement, delicate areas or areas requiring focused RF energy.
Because your face isn't one uniform piece of tissue—and good aesthetic treatment shouldn't treat it like one.
Some concerns need broader collagen remodeling.
Others need precision.
Some patients benefit from Secret RF alone.
Some may benefit from AGNES.
And occasionally, the best plan may involve different technologies addressing different concerns over time.
You do not need to know which machine you need before your appointment.
Tell me what you see when you look in the mirror and what you would like to improve.
We will figure out the treatment from there.

Treatment Planning
We start by looking at your skin, anatomy, concerns and goals.
Not every patient needs the same treatment—or the same device.

Prep + Numbing
Your skin is cleansed and topical numbing is typically used to make treatment as comfortable as possible.

RF Energy + Microneedling
Microneedles enter the tissue at controlled depths while radiofrequency energy is delivered beneath the surface.

Recovery
Redness, warmth, swelling or sensitivity can occur after treatment. Recovery depends on the treatment area, depth and intensity.

Collagen Remodeling
This isn't an instant-result treatment.
Collagen remodeling continues after the appointment, so improvements in texture and skin quality develop gradually over the following weeks and months.
What's the difference?
Both treatments create controlled micro-injuries that encourage the skin's natural repair process.
Traditional Microneedling
Traditional microneedling may be an excellent option for improving overall skin texture, superficial scarring and skin quality without adding radiofrequency energy.

RF Microneedling
RF microneedling adds controlled radiofrequency energy beneath the surface, allowing us to create a deeper remodeling response.
It may make more sense when we are addressing concerns such as deeper texture changes, acne scarring, pores or skin laxity.
The important part?
You don't have to decide which one you need.
That's our job.
Immediately following treatment, your skin may appear pink or red and may feel warm or sensitive.
Some swelling can also occur depending on the treatment area and intensity.
Downtime varies considerably based on the device, treatment depth and concern being treated—particularly when more targeted AGNES RF treatment is used.
Your aftercare instructions will be based on the treatment you actually receive rather than handed to you as a generic protocol.
RF microneedling works through collagen remodeling, so results develop gradually.
You may notice changes in texture first, while improvements related to collagen production continue over the following weeks and months.
The number of treatments needed depends on:
What we are treating
Your starting skin quality
The severity of the concern
The device being used
Your treatment goals
Your response to treatment
Some patients benefit from a series of treatments while others may need a different approach.
There is no automatic package simply because you walked through the door.
Aesthetic medicine shouldn't be about choosing a machine from a menu.
At AdoreU, we start with what you want to improve.
Then we look at your skin, anatomy, medical history, previous treatments, downtime preferences and expectations.
Your plan may include:
RF microneedling
Injectable treatments
Medical-grade skincare
Or a combination performed strategically over time
Sometimes Secret RF is the right answer.
Sometimes AGNES is the right answer.
Sometimes neither is.
Having options allows us to choose the treatment based on you—not force you into the treatment we happen to have.
Technology matters.
But who is choosing the treatment, evaluating your skin and deciding how that technology should be used matters too.
At AdoreU, treatment begins with a conversation.
We'll talk about what you're noticing, what bothers you, what you've already tried, how much downtime you're willing to have and what kind of outcome would actually make treatment worthwhile for you.
Then we'll create a plan.
No rushing.
No one-size-fits-all settings.
And no pressure to choose a procedure simply because it's popular.
No. Traditional microneedling creates controlled microscopic channels in the skin. RF microneedling also delivers radiofrequency energy beneath the surface, producing an additional thermal response.
Secret RF is Cutera's fractional RF microneedling system. It allows controlled radiofrequency energy to be delivered at different depths for concerns including fine lines, acne scars, enlarged pores, texture and skin quality.
AGNES is a targeted radiofrequency platform that uses specialized microblade tips to deliver controlled RF energy to specific tissue depths and anatomical areas.
Neither is universally “better.”
They do different things.
Secret RF is particularly useful for broader fractional RF microneedling and collagen remodeling, while AGNES allows very focused RF treatment in specific anatomical areas.
Your treatment recommendation depends on what we are trying to accomplish.
It varies. Some concerns respond well to a limited number of treatments, while others benefit from a series or combination approach.
Topical numbing is generally used for RF microneedling. Sensation varies by treatment area, device and depth.
Downtime varies. Redness, warmth, sensitivity and swelling can occur. More targeted or deeper treatments may require additional recovery time.
RF microneedling can improve the appearance and quality of mildly lax or crepey skin through collagen remodeling. It is not a replacement for surgical lifting when significant laxity is present.
Good.
You don't need to be.
Come in and tell us what you would like to improve.
We'll help determine whether Secret RF, AGNES, traditional microneedling, laser treatment—or something completely different—makes the most sense for you.
Let's create a plan for your skin.
