MEDICAL WEIGHT LOSS IN O’FALLON, MO

A Personalized Plan for Weight Loss That Goes Beyond the Scale

If losing weight has become harder despite your best efforts, you are not failing—and you may need more than another restrictive diet.

AdoreU provides medically guided weight-loss care designed to help you reduce body fat, protect muscle, improve metabolic health, and create results you can realistically maintain. Your individualized plan may include nutrition support, lifestyle strategies, prescription medication when clinically appropriate, and ongoing care from the same provider throughout your journey.

This is not a quick prescription or a one-size-fits-all plan. It is thoughtful, relationship-based medical care built around your health, your goals, and how your body responds.

WEIGHT LOSS ISN’T ALWAYS AS SIMPLE AS “EAT LESS AND MOVE MORE"

If What Used to Work No Longer Works, There May Be More to the Story

Weight can be influenced by much more than willpower. Hormone changes, insulin resistance, sleep, stress, medications, health conditions, appetite regulation, activity level, nutrition, and the natural loss of muscle over time can all affect how your body responds.

That is why your care at AdoreU begins with a comprehensive assessment—not an automatic prescription.

We take the time to understand:

  • Your health and weight history

  • Previous weight-loss attempts

  • Current medications and health conditions

  • Hunger, cravings, energy, sleep, and stress

  • Hormonal and metabolic factors

  • Nutrition and movement patterns

  • Your personal goals and concerns

  • What has and has not felt sustainable in the past

The goal is not simply to make the number on the scale smaller. It is to help you improve your body composition, feel better in your body, and develop a plan that supports your health beyond the active weight-loss phase.

A PROGRAM, NOT JUST A PRESCRIPTION

Medical Weight Loss Built Around You

Every patient begins with a comprehensive wellness assessment and treatment-planning appointment.

Aleasha Elliott, FNP-C, reviews your health history, listens to what you have already tried, discusses your goals, and evaluates which options may be appropriate for you.

If you decide to move forward, you will enroll in a structured 4–6 month metabolic weight-loss program. Your plan may include GLP-1 medication when clinically appropriate, but medication is not required for every patient.

Programs are also available for patients who want professional support and a stronger metabolic foundation without medication.

Your treatment plan is individualized because people do not all lose weight

—or respond to treatment—in the same way.

WHAT YOUR PROGRAM MAY INCLUDE

The Support Your Body Needs to Make Meaningful Progress

Comprehensive Assessment and Treatment Planning

Before beginning a program, we take time to discuss your health history, weight journey, symptoms, concerns, and goals. Together, we review your options and determine whether an AdoreU medical weight-loss program is the right fit for you.

The comprehensive assessment is completed before enrollment and billed separately from the program.

Individualized Medical Treatment

When medication is appropriate, it is selected and managed based on your health history, clinical needs, treatment response, and goals. Medication is a tool within your plan—not the entire plan.

Twelve Weeks of Nutrition Coaching

Your program includes weekly virtual check-ins with a contracted nutritionist during the first 12 weeks. This support focuses on realistic dietary patterns, adequate protein, sustainable habits, and the nutrition your body needs while losing weight.

Ongoing Provider Oversight

Aleasha monitors your progress, medication response, side effects, and changing needs throughout the program. Your plan can be adjusted as your body responds.

Muscle-Preservation Strategy

Weight loss should not come at the unnecessary expense of your strength. Protein intake, resistance training, appropriate nutrition, and a sensible rate of weight loss are important parts of protecting lean muscle and improving body composition.

Long-Term Maintenance Planning

The goal is not to help you lose weight and then leave you wondering what comes next. Before the active program ends, we develop a maintenance plan based on your response, health needs, preferences, and long-term goals.

MEDICATION OPTIONS

Medication May Be Part of the Plan—When It Is Appropriate for You

Weight-loss medication is not one-size-fits-all. If medication is clinically appropriate, your options will be selected based on your health history, current medications, symptoms, goals, previous experiences, and personal preferences.

Oral Weight-Loss Medications

For some patients, an oral medication may be an appropriate and more affordable option. Different medications work in different ways and may help address appetite, cravings, or other factors affecting weight.

Your medical history and current medications will be carefully reviewed before an oral medication is recommended.

GLP-1 Therapy

GLP-1 medications can help regulate appetite, improve feelings of fullness, reduce persistent food noise, and support meaningful weight loss for appropriate patients.

If GLP-1 therapy is included in your plan, your dose is gradually adjusted based on your tolerance and response.

The goal is not to reach the highest dose as quickly as possible. It is to find an effective approach while supporting adequate nutrition, hydration, energy, and muscle preservation.

Thoughtful Medication Management

Before beginning medication, we will discuss the potential benefits, risks, possible side effects, realistic expectations, and available options. Your response will be monitored throughout treatment, and your plan may be adjusted as your needs change.

Medication is a tool within your program—not the entire program. All medication recommendations and prescribing are based on clinical appropriateness.

NUTRITION SUPPORT THROUGH BETTER U

Sometimes the Answer Isn’t Eating Less

Eating less is not always the same as nourishing your body well.

Some women come to us after years of restrictive dieting, inconsistent eating, or trying to compensate with more and more exercise. Over time, the body can adapt to prolonged calorie restriction and inadequate fueling. In those situations, continuing to cut calories may leave you feeling exhausted, frustrated, and unable to make the progress you expected.

Jamie helps you look closely at your current intake, eating patterns, activity level, and lifestyle demands. When appropriate, your plan may focus on gradually increasing your food intake, improving nutrient balance, building or protecting muscle, and creating a healthier relationship between fueling and activity.

The goal is not automatically to eat less. It is to give your body the right amount of nutrition and movement to support your health, strength, and long-term progress.

Medication Can Support Progress. Nutrition Builds the Foundation.

During weight loss—especially when medication reduces your appetite—it is important to get enough protein, fiber, fluids, and essential nutrients. Thoughtful nutrition can also help protect muscle, support energy, manage common side effects, and establish habits that continue beyond the active weight-loss phase.

That is why nutrition coaching is a required part of AdoreU’s initial medical weight-loss program, whether your plan includes an oral medication or GLP-1 therapy.

Your initial nutrition appointment must be completed before medication is ordered. The remaining coaching appointments are completed within the designated 12-week nutrition-coaching period.

Medical Care and Nutrition Coaching—Working Together

Aleasha Elliott, FNP-C, is your medical provider. She evaluates your health history, reviews relevant laboratory results, determines whether medication is appropriate, manages prescriptions, monitors your response, and adjusts your medical treatment plan.

Aleasha is not your nutrition coach—and medication alone cannot teach you the practical skills needed to nourish your body, protect muscle, navigate real-life challenges, and maintain your progress.

That is where Jamie and Better U Nutrition Coaching come in.

Jamie helps you turn your medical plan into realistic daily action. Through individualized nutrition coaching, she helps you understand what and how much your body may need, develop sustainable eating patterns, balance activity with adequate fueling, and build skills you can continue using long after the initial program ends.

Following through with nutrition coaching is an essential part of the AdoreU medical weight-loss program. It is not an optional bonus or an appointment to save for later. Your first nutrition appointment must be completed before medication is ordered, and all included coaching sessions must be used within the designated 12-week coaching period.

OR

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I have to use medication to participate?

No. Programs are available with or without medication. Your options will be discussed during your comprehensive assessment based on your health, goals, preferences, and clinical needs.

Does everyone receive a GLP-1 medication?

No. Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are only prescribed when it is medically appropriate. A comprehensive assessment is required before any treatment recommendation is made.

Which weight-loss medication will I receive?

There is no single medication that is best for every patient. If medication is appropriate, your options will be reviewed based on your medical history, current medications, clinical needs, availability, and treatment goals.

How quickly will I lose weight?

There is no responsible way to guarantee a specific amount or rate of weight loss. Results depend on your starting point, metabolic health, medical history, treatment plan, consistency, and individual response.

We focus on meaningful, sustainable progress rather than promising a dramatic number by a particular date.

Will I lose muscle while losing weight?

Any weight-loss process can include some loss of lean mass. Your program emphasizes adequate protein, appropriate nutrition, resistance exercise, and a reasonable pace of weight loss to help protect muscle and strength.

What happens if I experience side effects?

Side effects and concerns should be communicated to your medical provider. Your dose, nutrition, hydration, or treatment plan may need to be adjusted based on what you are experiencing.

Will I regain the weight if I stop medication?

Weight regain can occur after weight-loss medication is discontinued, particularly when there is no maintenance strategy. Before the active phase ends, we will discuss a realistic long-term plan based on your response, health needs, and preferences.

Are laboratory tests required?

Laboratory recommendations are individualized. Aleasha will determine whether updated testing is appropriate after reviewing your health history, symptoms, medications, previous results, and treatment goals.

Does AdoreU accept insurance?

AdoreU is a cash-pay practice and does not bill insurance or complete prior authorizations. Pricing is discussed before you commit to treatment.
