What to expect
IPL has no downtime for most clients. Brown spots will temporarily darken and flake off over 7–10 days following treatment — this is a normal and expected part of the clearing process. Mild redness may persist for a few hours after treatment. Full results develop over 4–6 weeks after each session as the skin continues to clear and remodel.
Who is a good candidate
IPL is most effective on lighter skin tones (Fitzpatrick I–III) with sun damage, diffuse redness, or visible vessels. Candidacy is assessed during your consultation. IPL is not appropriate for active tans, very dark skin tones, or clients on certain photosensitizing medications.

The Protocol
Many clients see significant improvement after one Pearl treatment. Some may benefit from a series of two treatments spaced approximately one month apart depending on skin goals and starting condition.
What to expect
Skin will look and feel similar to a mild sunburn for several days following treatment. The outer skin layer naturally sheds around day 3–4. Most clients have approximately 3–4 days of social downtime. Makeup can usually be worn once the skin has fully healed. Final results are visible within 2–4 weeks, with continued improvement over the following months.

Plan for approximately 5–7 days of downtime. Skin will appear red, swollen, and sunburned after treatment. Ointment-based aftercare and strict sun avoidance are required during the healing phase.
