Hormone Optimization & BHRT

that starts with a conversation, not a standard protocol.

Most patients who come in for hormone evaluation have already tried something — and it didn't work the way they expected. That's not a failure of the therapy. It's usually a failure of the process: incomplete labs, a one-size-fits-all dose, and no follow-through.

At AdoreU, hormone optimization starts with a thorough evaluation of your symptoms, goals, and labs. From there, we build a plan using bioidentical hormone pellet therapy — because the delivery method matters. Pellets release hormones gradually and continuously, which means your levels stay consistent rather than peaking and crashing the way oral or topical methods can.

Hormone optimization isn't a single appointment. Your body needs time to absorb and respond to new hormone levels, and finding the right balance is an individual process. What works for one patient may not be the right starting point for another — age, metabolism, stress, sleep, and body composition all influence how your body processes and utilizes the hormones available to it.

Finding the right balance is an individual process. Age, metabolism, stress, sleep, and body composition all influence how your body produces and responds to hormones.

INITIAL EVALUATION

A Complete Picture,

Not Just Hormone Levels.

Most women have already had labs done. They've been told everything looks "normal" — and yet they still don't feel like themselves.

At AdoreU, we order a different kind of panel. One that looks deeper, because symptoms rarely have a single cause and a standard lab result rarely tells the whole story.

Your initial lab evaluation goes well beyond a standard hormone panel. This gives us a clinical explanation for what you're experiencingnot a guess — and ensures your protocol addresses the full picture from the start.

Sex Hormones

A full assessment of your hormonal baseline — not just a single number. We look at the complete picture of how your hormones are interacting, not just whether one marker falls outside a standard range.

Thyroid function

Thyroid dysfunction is one of the most frequently missed contributors to hormone-like symptoms. We evaluate thyroid health thoroughly, because an unaddressed thyroid issue will blunt the results of any hormone protocol.

Inflammatory markers

Chronic inflammation directly affects how your body metabolizes and responds to hormones. If inflammation is present, we want to know before we build your protocol — not after.

Metabolic & blood sugar

Insulin resistance and blood sugar dysregulation are common in hormonal imbalance and frequently go undetected on a standard panel. These patterns have a direct impact on how well hormone therapy works.

Key vitamins & minerals

Deficiencies in certain vitamins and minerals directly affect hormone production, energy, mood, and how your body responds to treatment. We assess the markers most relevant to your symptoms and overall hormonal health.

  • Overseen by Aleasha Elliott, FNP-C

Every hormone protocol at AdoreU is evaluated and managed by a board-certified nurse practitioner — not a wellness coordinator or virtual provider. Your care is clinical.

Hormone Therapy for Women & Men

in St. Charles

Hormonal imbalance presents differently in women and men — in symptoms, in timing, and in how the body responds to treatment. We evaluate and treat both, using the same individualized approach for each.

Hormone Optimization For Women

Hormonal shifts don't announce themselves with a clear diagnosis. For most women, they show up gradually — fatigue that sleep doesn't fix, mood changes that feel out of character, weight that won't budge despite doing everything right, or a general sense that something is off that's hard to explain.

What's happening is a shift in estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone — hormones that influence your metabolism, sleep, cognitive function, bone density, cardiovascular health, and skin. When they fluctuate during perimenopause or decline after menopause, the effects are felt across every system in the body.

Many women come in with a combination of symptoms they haven't connected to hormones at all. That's exactly what the initial evaluation is designed to sort out.

Common symptoms that bring women in:

Women's initial programs include a personalized supplement protocol, the Women's Hormone Optimization Resource Guide, and weekly coaching emails throughout the 12 weeks.

Supplemement Protocol · Resource Guide · Weekly Coaching Emails

  • Fatigue that doesn't resolve with rest

  • Brain fog, difficulty concentrating, or memory lapses

  • Mood changes, irritability, or anxiety that feels hormonally driven

  • Sleep disruption — difficulty falling or staying asleep

  • Hot flashes and night sweats

  • Weight gain, particularly around the midsection

  • Low libido or changes in sexual comfort

  • Hair thinning or changes in skin quality

  • Irregular cycles or significant changes in flow

Hormone Optimization For Men

Testosterone decline is gradual — which is part of why it goes unrecognized for so long. Energy erodes slowly, motivation fades, recovery takes longer, and body composition changes in ways that don't respond to the usual fixes. Most men attribute it to stress or aging. Often, it's hormonal.

Testosterone levels begin declining as early as the mid-30s, and by the time symptoms become disruptive, levels may have been suboptimal for years. A comprehensive lab evaluation is the only way to know what's actually going on — and it's where we start.

Common symptoms that bring men in:

  • Low energy or persistent fatigue

  • Reduced motivation or mental drive

  • Difficulty building or maintaining muscle

  • Increased body fat, particularly around the midsection

  • Brain fog or difficulty concentrating

  • Mood changes, irritability, or low-grade depression

  • Decreased libido or sexual performance changes

  • Poor sleep or longer recovery times after physical activity

Are you ready for REAL change?

Your Protocol Appointment

The initial program is structured around defined checkpoints — not because we follow a rigid script, but because your body needs time to respond and we need data at the right intervals to get your protocol right. Here's what that typically looks like.

After your appointment and initial treatment package selection, you'll receive individual information about your specific timeline and what's included in your program.

What to Expect

- A Typical Timeline Female Pellet Therapy

TREATMENT BEGINS

Once your intake labs have been reviewed and your plan is established, you'll come in for your protocol appointment. This is where treatment begins.

Pellet therapy is the preferred delivery method at AdoreU — small pellets are inserted just beneath the skin in a quick, in-office procedure, and from there your body does the work. Because these pellets are manufactured from granules rather than compressed powder, they dissolve at a controlled, consistent rate — eliminating the soft spots that can cause uneven absorption and unwanted hormone bursts in standard pellets.

Women have pellets inserted every four months. Men have pellets inserted every six months.

For patients who are better suited to a topical or injectable option, that can be discussed at your appointment.

4

WEEK 4

Labs

At four weeks, you'll have your labs drawn at an outside lab. This gives us an early look at how your body is absorbing and utilizing the hormones so we're not waiting on results when you come in for your follow-up.

6

WEEK 6

Follow-up Appointment

You'll come in to review your week 4 labs and talk through how you're feeling. This is where we assess what's working, address any questions, and make early adjustments to your protocol if needed.

11

WEEK 11

Labs

At 11 weeks, labs are drawn again ahead of your final initial program appointment. This gives us a current picture of where your levels are as your first pellet cycle comes to completion.

12

WEEK 12 - FINAL APPOINTMENT

Review & Transition to Quarterly Care

You'll come in to review your week 11 labs, discuss your overall response to therapy, and finalize your protocol. From here, you'll transition into quarterly maintenance care — where ongoing insertions, labs, and clinical oversight stay on a consistent schedule so your results remain stable over time.
